The hourly rate for custom maps is $35.00, with a minimum charge of $35.00. ![]() Payment must be made before the map is given to the customer. An estimate of the amount of time and cost will be provided by a GIS staff member and agreed to by the customer before the project is started.Ĭompletion of the map will be at the discretion of the GIS department, given that Union County staff and other government staff requests are given priority over public projects. If the map requires creating a new map or new data, modification of existing data or data analysis, an additional fee will be added to the cost of the map. Call 70 or email the GIS Department at map requests. Paper or digital maps are available by request. What types of data can I find on your maps for download? The Union County GIS team supports data development, mapping, and application development efforts that support various County agencies and departments. Rather than maintaining incompatible hard copy maps, each department maintains information in an enterprise Geographic Information System. Union County developed a master plan to have an enterprise system where all county departments can access to GIS software and data. For help with utilizing GoMAPS, you can contact County GIS staff by sending an email to GoMAPS instructions, see the following video: GoMAPS Tutorial GoMAPS 4.0 GoMAPS is our online interactive mapping tool. To view data or to create maps and reports within Union County, you can access GoMAPS by clicking the map below. A GIS allows us to view, understand, question, interpret and visualize data in many ways that reveal relationships, patterns and trends in the form of maps, reports and charts. You won't be able to define "x" exact hues.A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computerized system that can be used to create, store, manage, analyze and display geographically referenced information. With "x" distinct number of values in column D, there will be "x" distinct colors in the map, but they will be a mix of the "start" and the "end" color. If you want more than three distinct colors, use the "lowest value", "middle value", and "highest value" instead of numbers and set your thresholds. In the following screenshot I have added a formula to the data table to generate numbers from 1 to 3 for the number ranges in column C, I changed the chart series definition to plot the numbers from column D instead of C and gave each of the three number a distinct color. Then use the column with the values 1, 2, 3 to plot the chart and set the colors for these numbers as described above. ![]() If you don't like the gradients, then you need to add a column to your data table and use formulas to translate 0 - 60,000 to 1, 60,001 - 120,000 to 2, 120,001 to whatever to 3, etc. Set Minimum to 0, midpoint to 60000 and maximum to 120000. You can change the colors and you can change the minimum, midpoint and maximum to exact numbers. In the Format Data Series panel click on Series Color and select Diverging (3-color). ![]() You can't have distinct colors for a range of numbers, but you can define up to three colors in a gradient. ![]()
